I am beginning to notice a pattern.
Whether the business has 20 employees or 200…
Whether it is manufacturing, engineering, trading, IT, or services…
The challenges are surprisingly similar.
• Founder dependency
• Accountability gaps
• Lack of ownership
• Execution delays
• Difficulty in building a strong second line of leadership
Interestingly, very few of these challenges make it to boardroom presentations, business magazines, or industry discussions.
Yet, these are often the real reasons why businesses struggle to scale sustainably.
These themes repeatedly emerged during our recent 5 Seats Circle discussion with business owners and industry leaders.
It was encouraging to see these conversations receive mention in the press, because organizational challenges deserve as much attention as sales, profits, and growth.
Businesses do not become stronger merely by growing bigger.
They become stronger when structure, systems, leadership, and accountability grow along with them.
What organizational challenge do you think businesses underestimate the most?
